About

RESTORE, the UC Merced CIRM SRL, is currently under construction, with an anticipated launch date of April 16, 2026. However, we are soft-launching selected services as they become available. Please contact Marisa Bickel, marisabickel@ucmerced.edu, for further information.

Our Mission: The mission of RESTORE is to accelerate regenerative medicine by broadening access to stem cell-based models, advancing standards and reproducibility, increasing educational opportunities, and providing sustainable high-end instrumentation to a wide range of investigators.

RESTORE was funded by a grant to Program Director Dr. Kara McCloskey from CIRM in 2024. The facility will be fully grant funded through 2027 with tapering support through 2029.
